Malek Inja is an accomplished Business Development and Marketing professional with 23 years of experience.
In 2012 Malek founded “Cherrypik LTD”, a trading company dedicated to servicing the MEA region by launching and building brands in those markets and acting as the “Brand Guardian”. And in 2013 Cherrypik LTD launched “Cherrypik Trading” in partnership with Bidvest ME, servicing the local UAE retail market.
Between 2005 and 2009 Malek was also the Group Chief Marketing Officer of “Dubai Holding” and in 2009 Malek also founded and managed “Imagine”, helping companies develop their business and make recommendations on market entries and strategic Marketing tools, with clients including the Campbell’s Soup Company, Shuaa Capital and Abu Dhabi Technology and Development Committee.
Malek co-founded and managed “HORECA Trade” in Food Services, with the exclusive business development and distribution rights in the UAE for many global brands including “Unilever” and “Nestle Premium Waters”. In 2005, HORECA Trade was 80% acquired by “Bidvest”, an International services, trading and distribution company, from South Africa (Revenues @ $20Billion).
Prior to that, Malek successfully managed a range of FMCG products, working with Danone as Area Manager and Kraft Foods as Head of Innovations.
Ziad has a large experiencence in developing products in new markets, assigning distributors, and handling sales, marketing and supply chain operations.
Upon graduation in 2008 as an Industrial Engineer from the “Lebanese American University”, Ziad joined “Butec” Engineering firm in Lebanon. He worked as a planning and Cost Control Engineer on the project of construction of three waste water treatment plants.
He then moved to become a Quality Control Engineer on a Bridge reconstruction, which was a project executed by a joint venture between “Butec” and “Freyssinet” – a french company part of Vinci Group.
In 2009, Ziad joined “ Neuhauser” par of the Soufflet Group. His first assignment was to develop a distribution company for Neuhauser Frozen Bakery products in Egypt, and to complete the bakery range by outsourcing products from other bakery suppliers in Europe, from where Ziad built good relations and connections with bakery producers and competitors in Europe.
In 2011, Ziad moved to Lebanon where he copied the same distribution model in Egypt, and opened the “Neuhauser Middle East & Africa” Sales Office to expand Neuhauser sales in the region.
Since then, Ziad assigned distributors in more than 24 countries, and excelled in developing the image of Neuhauser.
As of April 2017, Ziad is responsible to expand of the Culina brand in the region and assist sales in the foodservice operations.
In August 2015, Rami Doumani joined Cherrypik and is responsible for Suppliers relationship and Marketing.
Upon graduation in 2008, Rami decided to join Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts based in Bangkok. After the completion of the corporate management program in 2010, Rami was hired to be part of the pre-opening team of the Shangri-la hotel in Paris, Shangri-la’s flagship hotel in Europe.
During his career with Shangri-la Rami managed and was responsible for all operation aspects from staff management, implementing cost-saving measure to ensuring client satisfaction. He was also elected as a member of the Works Council representing 400 employees.
In 2014, Rami enrolled into IE Business School International MBA Program where, during the course of the program, was selected to be part of the Emzingo program, a program dedicated to offer consultancy work for social business or non-government organizations based in Johannesburg.
Rami graduated from Glion Institute of Higher Education with an honors degree in Hospitality, Real Estate and Finance Management.
Rami is also a graduate from IE Business School in Madrid.
